copper windings

New to scrapping and just took apart a fan motor & believe what I found was a transformer? With a copper winding around stainless steel, what is the best way to remove the copper from the stainless? Technics, tools, sfr. Thank you.

On a transformer most probably it's aluminum wire with an ultra ultra thin copper coating. At my scrap yard we send those out as aluminum wire because that's basically what it is

In summary, don't bother with it. Sell them to your yard as a transformer. Not sure what they are worth, but they are worth keeping and selling once you get a few
