Do you mean DVDs or DVD players? A DVD is plastic, and can be recycled for free. DVD Players are just shred scrap, but you can cut the copper wire out to make a little more money.

I like scrap metal and junk. I bring home all kinds of appliances and hardware. When I see lots of fairly new appliances then I know it was made to fail early. The good parts are often worth more than the original product cost so I test and sort lots of parts. I know electronics well enough to design my own circuits and build a project from start to finish. If you need a chap torch go for HHO . Perpetual motion crap has no torque. So if thats your goal think “build it really big.” Lots of electronic junk has gold plated parts that can go directly to jewelry fabricators and artists willing to work with you on prices. I sold lots of electronic gold in jewlery at 250 times the actual value of the scrap. So combine your interests for a greater yeild.
